Well, we all have read the famous poem ‘Paradise Lost’. To me greater Noida is nothing but a dream gone sour! In India development, progress and people’s mental health, comfort and well being means peanuts to our politicians across party line. More so in Ulta Pradesh where the politics of regression is more persuasive than progress and achievement.
The mood of every successive govt. in this state is to undo whatever good has been done by the previous one. So we see Mulayam trying to do away with an entire district Gautum Buddha Nagar because Mayawati created it. Look at her she comes marching in with her band of boys and decided that she needs resurrection by putting as many statues of herself as possible the public may be damned.
Mayawati is the modern day Mary Antoinette so...As the story goes that there was a drought in medieval France and the people were starving but oblivious to the suffering of his people, the French Emperor and his consort Mary Antoinette were splurging in the countryside.
The French people went and protested and and demanded bread and so the generous lady decided to donate all the bread made in the castle. Well to cut a long story short Mary Antoinette was guillotined in the revolution that followed. Now Mayawati is making a Dalit Park when the very same Dalits may not be getting one meal per day because of drought like conditions...Do we see some parallels in the M’s here?
Well to come back to Greater Noida and its sublime existence. There is no security all the local residents have converted there houses into PGs charging exorbitant fees for miserable accommodation. Security guards are missing at all entry/exit points in all sectors busy intersections.
Daily incidents of purse, mobile and chain snatching, is taking place but the police just sleeps. Whereas neighboring Noida has ample policemen guarding important points. Why do we ever dupe our citizen when we cant offer what we have promised. There is a systemic failure in greater Noida.
As a resident of Greater Noida, I am proud of my city and the vision with which it was created yet the residents who stay here prefer to suffer in silence than to raise a voice against the lack of amenities and security for them forgetting that as a one common approach one voice on cause can eliminate all hurdles and propel the authorities to act swiftly and decisively against errant officers.
Secondly NPCL what is that company still doing here when it is unable to even provide electricity let alone maintain its frequency. So, I wonder I was asked to blog on this paper yet I have to see its impact on the people who read it.
